Alcohol and driving is a deadly combination. Driving while drinking is not only illegal, but it is also very dangerous. Thousands of people have lost their lives due to the fact that they were driving under intoxication. The law on drinking varies depending on state, but a person is considered legally intoxicated when his blood alcohol level is above 0.08.
Public intoxication is another serious problem today. Many people have a tendency to get drunk and go out in public and cause a disturbance. Many riots have started because of people who decided to go out in public after they had too many drinks.

Additionally, operating a boat after one has been drinking is also very dangerous. Operating under influence makes a person 10 times more likely to die in a boating accident. Nearly 34 percent of people who died in a boating accident were operating while intoxicated.

If a person has been drinking, it is best that he avoid getting behind the wheel of any vehicle. He should also make sure that he avoids going in public and disturbing the peace.
